For Grades 2-5 (1st grade if in advanced math)
Beginners learn to build and program LEGO robots using LEGO Education's award-winning WeDo programming software. In this course, students follow step-by-step on-screen instructions to build their robots, and then build a suggested program to get their robots working. After that, those who are ready build more complicated programs involving motion or tilt sensors, or improvise to make their robots achieve certain tasks. NOTE: If your child has taken this class previously, please note it is the same class and the student may be a little bored if he or she takes it again.
Adventures with Robots is on a mission. They aim to bring STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) to more kids at an earlier age, and they want to make STEM irresistibly FUN, like it should be. And what better way to do that than to get kids hooked on robotics. Or building stuff, like real engineers do?
